Meet our colleague Rišo, a dedicated Functional Consultant specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365, who embarked on his IT career driven by a longstanding enthusiasm for electronics and technology. Rišo felt a pull towards IT that he couldn’t ignore, and after completing training courses, he joined Unique People Košice in September 2017, where he has been making a significant impact ever since. In this interview, Rišo shares his experience working at Unique People, including his involvement in key projects such as the reimplementation of Dynamics 365 CRM and shares his insight on the company atmosphere. He also discusses his views on the future of IT, the role of AI, and his aspirations for his future. Outside of work, Rišo balances family time with hobbies and tackling hands-on projects around the house. How did you get into IT?

I have had an interest in electronics for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until I was in college that I started to think about working in IT. I studied at the University of Economics in Košice, but I still couldn’t come to terms with the idea that I would make a living out of it for the rest of my life. I couldn't imagine doing that. After my bachelor's degree, I decided not to continue with my studies in economics and made a risky decision - to follow a path in life that I enjoy. So, I registered with the largest employer in Slovakia, the so-called labor office, and signed up for retraining courses in the field of IT and started working on my IT career.

How did you get to Unique People and when did you start working here?

After six months, when I successfully completed retraining courses, I started looking for a job. A friend of mine told me about a company with new positions opened. He told me how it worked there, so I sent my CV, and they invited me for an interview. You‘ve probably already guessed that I passed the interview, and since September 2017, I have been working at Unique People Košice.

How do you feel about working at Unique People?

Working at Unique People fulfills me in every way. The type of work that can be "tailored" to what a person enjoys cannot be taken for granted today. Another very important factor for me is the fair approach to me as an employee and the pleasant, family-like atmosphere among my colleagues.

What are you currently working on?

Most recently, I worked on the reimplementation of the new Dynamics 365 CRM for a client - an energy company. Currently, I do operation and the development of Dynamics 365 for them.

What's the most interesting thing you've worked on so far at Unique People?

The current project for an energy company in eastern Slovakia is for me the most interesting project I have worked on so far.

Who or what inspires you?

People that inspire me the most are those that are not afraid to leave their comfort zone and pursue their goals.

Do you have any IT-related dream? A technology you would like to work with or a specific project you would like to participate in?

Dynamics is what I want to do and what I want to focus on at the moment. In the future, I would like work on development as well.

How do you see the future of IT? What do you think will be the role of AI in IT in the future?

The future of IT is, in my opinion, the future of the world. As for AI, I can see it being a huge help in my industry, but I'm not worried that it would replace me.

What's your favorite movie?

I liked the film The Social Network, it's about how Zuckerberg's Facebook was created. I am also inspired by how Jobs built Apple, so I recommend the film Jobs as well.

Tell us something interesting about yourself. 😊 What are your hobbies, what do you do in your free time?

My family comes first, so I like to spend my free time with my son. When it comes to sports, I enjoy skiing. As an IT guy, I also need to vent tension and stress through manual work in my spare time, which is why I really enjoy working around the house, taking care of my yard and mowing. Every now and then, I light a cigar with a friend, and we talk about life; it's a form of relaxation for me.
